Sahuaro Monument

Please be practical when visiting any outdoor location in the Tucson valley. BRING WATER and wear a hat and comfortable shoes.

“A journey into the wilderness is the freest, cheapest, most nonprivileged of pleasures. Anyone with two legs and the price of a pair of army surplus combat boots may enter.”
Edward Abbey

Explore the Northern Sonoran Desert.  Be brave:  Experience all the beauty of this harsh wilderness.  Hike, camp, bike or drive into the desert; at least for a day.  You will never regret the experience(BRING WATER, or you might regret it).  Put on your hat, get those shoes on and bring out your inner adventurer in the Sahuaro National Monument.  Walk where movies were made.  See the desert sunset.  Breathe the dry air out among the cactus.  Don’t feed the snakes(or anything else).  The low desert of the Sahuaro Monument is; quiet, textured and uniquely beautiful.
