It is time for Tucson Gem & Mineral show 2018

Welcome Back Rockhounds!  The Tucson Gem/Mineral & Jewelry show has grown well beyond just the MAIN EVENT held each year at the convention center downtown.  The Tucson Gem & Mineral Society organized the first show more than sixty years ago.  From that display of minerals in a local school;  the World’s Largest Gem & Mineral Event has grown.  Our well researched mobile friendly guide(CLICK HERE) will help you figure out where you are as well as how to get where you want to go.  Many of the hotel shows are Downtown near the Sunlink, or are serviced by two independent systems of free shuttles.

From our experience  we have decided that you should go to everything.  In fact we’d like to make it easier for you so one of our directory categories is (GEM SHOW) just so we can keep track of the restaurants and businesses that are near the shows or service them in some way.  Also, IF you are looking at a listing that is on

But if you have time, be organized and go to either the Kino show OR the Downtown show each day.  It is really hard to shuttle back and forth BETWEEN them effectively.  It can be done, but you will have spent a lot of time waiting & riding that you might have spent seeing.  There is plenty of parking downtown;  More than 12,000 spaces including garages.  Fourth Avenue has a ton of restaurants and it is really easy to ride the Sunlink ($4.50 for a day pass).  Don’t think you will find much parking on the North end of the Sunlink right now though, the UMC hospital is under construction over there.  You might try the South end of the Sunlink track though.  The City has plenty of reasonably priced parking over there.  The Meters aren’t all day though, so use the pay lot.  Visit Parkwise   for up to date information from the City of Tucson.
